IS THERE PARKING?
There are two free of charge city parking lots very close to our location. We recommend parking in the East Elk Ave Lot, which is across the block and sits adjacent to The Tweetsie Trail.. There is also ample street parking.
DO WE NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS?

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATIONS?
We prefer 48 hours notice but often can accommodate our guests with less notice. If you have a large group (10 or more participants) we encourage you to make your reservations at least 2 weeks to one month in advance, especially for tours in the summer and fall.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO SHOW UP FOR RESSERVATIONS?
Arriving 15 minutes before you reservation allows time to receive your bike and get properly checked in .Check in at front office.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL OR CANT MAKE IT AT THE LAST MUNUTE?
For a full refund, cancellations need to be made no later 48 hours before the reservation time. No shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the start time of the reservation will be charged in full.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?
We provide the bicycle, helmet, and a lock. The bikes have water bottle holders, so bring water or we sell bottles of water for $1.00 at the shop. We also rent baskets for additional charge of $2. And don’t forget the sunscreen and sunglasses!
WHAT KINDS OF BIKES DO YOU RENT?
2 styles of comfort cruisers 26”, kids bikes 20” and E bikes 26”. All are perfect for the trail and streets downtown. We also have child trailers tag-a-longs .
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
We are available 3 days a week, Friday, Saturday, 9am-5pm and Sunday 11am-5pm

I HAVEN’T RIDDEN A BIKE SINCE CHILDHOOD, CAN I DO THIS TRAIL?
YES!!! The bikes are perfect for beginners and so is the trail. The trail is moderately flat and closed to traffic.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
Closed toe shoes are ideal. Always remember to pay attention to the weather and drees accordingly (you can always put on a jacket if you have it).
DO I NEED TO SIGN A RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Yes, all participants must read and sign our liability waiver. Waivers can be signed electronically at time of reservation or checkout. A parent or guardian must sign for all minors.
IS THERE A PLACE TO PICNIC ALONG THE TWEETSIE TRAIL?
Yes, there is a covered pavilion at the rock quarry overlook.
WHAT IS THE SURFACE OF THE TWEESTIE TRAIL?
It is a very small gravel called chat.
HOW LONG IS THE TRAIL?
The trail is 9.6 miles long It begins in Johnson City and ends in Elizabethton.
